Arizona Department of Housing, Weatherization and Energy Efficiency Contractors, and Advocates Highlight New Federal Energy Programs and Investments

Leaders Highlight Job Creation and Tangible Benefits to Arizona Consumers Thanks to Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act and the Inflation Reduction Act 

(PHOENIX, AZ) – Today, Katherine E. Blodgett of the Arizona Department of Housing (ADOH) joined FSL, Arizona weatherization and energy efficiency contractors, and consumer advocates for a press conference and tour to showcase the benefits of weatherization and energy efficiency technologies and federal programs available to Arizona households and businesses.

AARA’s Executive Director Dora Vasquez stated “Energy efficiency means helping households lower their utility bills, which is so important to our Arizona seniors living on a fixed income. Our state’s population aged 60 and older is set to grow faster than any other age cohort, so there is a real need for these services, and we’re thrilled to see this proactive course of action.”
